1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the website operated by Reiss Goldman Limited (“we”, “us” or “our”) and the professional services we provide.

By accessing our website, you agree to comply with these terms. The provision of professional services is also subject to the specific engagement terms agreed with each client.

2. Our Services

Reiss Goldman Limited provides professional services, including:

  • Bookkeeping and accountancy.

  • Annual accounts and company filings.

  • Tax planning and taxation services.

  • Payroll administration.

  • Business advisory.

  • IT audit services.

  • US and Canada taxation.

  • Corporate finance.

The scope, availability and terms of individual services will be confirmed as appropriate before work commences.

3. Initial Consultation

We may offer a free initial consultation to discuss your requirements and explain how our services may assist you.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the consultation does not constitute a formal engagement or guarantee a particular outcome. Any subsequent work will be subject to agreed engagement terms and fees.

4. Client Responsibilities

Clients must provide complete, accurate and timely information and documentation reasonably required to perform the agreed services.

You are responsible for notifying us of relevant changes to your financial circumstances, business activities or tax position and for responding promptly to requests for information.

Delays or inaccuracies in information provided may affect our ability to complete work within agreed timescales or meet relevant deadlines.

5. Fees and Payment

Our fees and payment arrangements will be communicated or agreed before work begins, wherever reasonably practicable.

Additional work outside the agreed scope may incur additional charges, which will be communicated as appropriate.

Invoices must be paid in accordance with the agreed payment terms. Where payments are overdue, we may take reasonable steps to recover outstanding amounts or suspend services where permitted by the engagement agreement, applicable law and relevant professional obligations.

6. Tax and Accounting Obligations

We will exercise reasonable professional care when carrying out agreed work. However, the accuracy and timeliness of our services depend on receiving the necessary information and instructions.

Clients remain responsible for providing complete information and cooperating with us to meet applicable filing requirements.

We cannot guarantee that tax authorities will accept a particular filing, claim or tax treatment, or that a specific financial result will be achieved.

7. Professional Advice

Our advice is based on the information available and the circumstances of the relevant engagement. It is intended for the client and purpose for which it is provided.

Tax laws and regulatory requirements may change. Advice concerning UK, US or Canadian taxation will depend on the relevant jurisdiction and individual circumstances.

You should obtain our written confirmation before relying on advice for a materially different purpose or transaction.

8. Confidentiality and Data Protection

We treat client information confidentially and process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and our Privacy Policy.

Information may be disclosed where necessary to provide agreed services, comply with legal or regulatory obligations, or where otherwise lawfully permitted.

9. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise agreed or permitted by law, the content of our website, including text, branding, graphics and other materials, may not be reproduced, distributed or commercially exploited without prior written permission from the relevant rights holder.

Ownership and permitted use of documents or materials prepared specifically for clients will be governed by the applicable engagement terms.

10. Website Availability and Third-Party Links

We aim to keep our website available and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that all website content will always be complete or up to date.

Our website may link to third-party websites. We do not control or accept responsibility for their content, services or privacy practices.

11. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation where applicable.

Subject to applicable law and the terms of the relevant engagement, we are not responsible for losses arising from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by a client, delays caused by the client’s failure to provide necessary information, or the use of advice outside its agreed purpose.

Any further limitation of liability will be governed by the applicable engagement agreement and will apply only to the extent permitted by law.

12. Termination of Services

Either party may terminate a professional engagement in accordance with the applicable engagement agreement.

Where permitted by law and the relevant agreement, we may suspend or terminate services if a client fails to meet payment obligations, repeatedly fails to provide necessary information, or circumstances arise that prevent us from continuing lawfully or professionally.

Outstanding fees and responsibilities following termination will be handled in accordance with the engagement agreement and applicable law.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised date.

Changes to existing client engagements will remain subject to the applicable engagement agreement and relevant legal requirements.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory legal requirements that apply.

Disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, where legally applicable and subject to any valid contractual arrangements.
